Are bunk beds safe?

Babies and children below the age of 4 should stick to cots, graduating to sleeper bunks as they get older. It is recommended that a child younger than 6 should stick to the bottom bunk.

What sizes are bunk beds available in?

Bunk beds come in many shapes and sizes, suitable for a variety of needs. For rooms that need a narrower sleeping solution, our standard bunk beds have dimensions of 3ft x 6.3ft (90cm x 190cm/35in x 75in), great for saving space.

What mattresses are suitable to use with bunk beds?

A bed is only as good as its mattress. This is no different when it comes to bunk beds. Thicker mattresses, such as memory foam models, may not be best suited. This is due to the inclusion of top bunk guardrails. it’s recommended that a top bunk mattress is kept at a maximum thickness of 15cm/6in to ensure a safe top rail height is maintained. For optimum comfort, our medium to firm pocket sprung offerings are an ideal bunk bed mattress. There are single mattresses suitable for bunk beds, guaranteeing a restful sleep. If you are looking to save space in your child's room, then you can always opt to get them a shorty mattress or look at our range of small single mattresses, but make sure you have a bunk bed that is compatible with the mattress size. 

What’s the difference between a double bunk bed and a triple bunk bed?
