About Emma Mattresses
Countless five-star Trustpilot ratings, and numerous awards, have catapulted Emma to the top of the mattress league tables.
They're particularly well known for their Emma memory foam mattresses - although they're also renowned for some top-quality Emma hybrid mattresses too. Using new materials and 21st-century manufacturing techniques, Emma is a premium brand at affordable prices.
What's on offer?
At MattressNextDay, we’re always looking for new and exciting mattresses to offer our customers. So it was only a matter of time before the Emma mattress UK range hit our shelves. Here’s a quick rundown of what we currently offer:
Emma Original – A plethora of awards makes this exceptional mattress a best seller. Unique Halo memory foam keeps your spine neutrally aligned. A mattress that suits all sleeping positions and comes in at an affordable price point, too.
Emma Premium – Six layers of foam and a spring core make this a truly dreamy-soft and comfortable mattress for all sleeping positions. The 5-zone CarbonFlex core has extra-tall springs for better bounce, while the Airgocell® foam allows the air to circulate and keep things cooler all night long. A Which? Best Buy winner for innovation.
Are Emma mattresses any good?
Put simply, yes. With a whole cabinet full of industry and consumer awards for each of their mattresses, Emma has shot to the top of the league for quality mattresses. Their use of innovative materials such as their Airgocell® and ComfortAdapt™ foam means that Emma memory foam and hybrid mattresses are responsive to your body.
When you sink into an Emma mattress, the foam adapts to cushion and support you. The Airgocell® ensures that the mattress stays well ventilated and cooler all night long. The result is a great night’s sleep, whatever the season.
Can you sleep on an Emma mattress straight away?
Most memory foam mattresses need a little time to regain their original form. As Emma mattresses come vacuum packed, rolled and boxed, they’re easy to transport and carry. So no more fighting a full-size mattress around a tight set of stairs!
Once you’ve got your mattress where you want it, simply unbox, cut the packaging and allow the mattress to unroll. It will take a couple of hours to settle and regain its shape. Giving it time to expand will allow all the memory foam to activate and ensure you get all the support you need from the first night.
How easy are they to maintain?
Emma mattresses are single-sided, so there's no need to flip and turn them regularly. However, as with all mattresses, we recommend that you rotate your mattress from head to foot every so often to avoid dips or lumps forming. Because Emma uses lightweight materials, turning an Emma king-size mattress or double mattress is easy. And Emma single mattresses can be turned in a few seconds with no fuss or bother.
How deep is an Emma mattress?
Emma mattresses are 12 inches (30cm) thick, so you get a lot of mattress for your money. Whether you go for a memory foam option or an Emma hybrid mattress, they’re the same thickness.
What firmness rating are Emma mattresses?
To keep things simple, all Emma mattresses have a medium firmness rating. That makes them suitable for all types of sleepers, whether you prefer to sleep on your front, back or side. The design of the foam and the zonal system used ensures that you get the right amount of support where you need it most, particularly on the lower back and hips. This keeps your spine neutrally aligned, so you wake up free of any aches and pains.
If you prefer a softer option, you can always add a mattress topper, but generally, Emma mattresses suit most people.
Which Emma mattress is best?
That’s difficult to answer, as they all reach exceptionally high standards of manufacturing quality, support and, most importantly, comfort. If you suffer from night sweats or are a ‘hot’ sleeper, you may find the Premium best, thanks to its extra layer of Airgocell® foam. The adaptive nature of Emma mattresses means that while the range may be small compared to larger brands, there’s bound to be one that will suit you.
