We bought a european size mattress for an old ikea bedframe (as ikea don't sell these any longer nor are they stocked on the high street), which meant a longer than usual delivery time scale, but this was made very clear before ordering. When you’ve washed and changed your duvet cover, there are a couple of tricks to putting a fresh duvet cover on that will make this infamously annoying activity super easy.
The easiest way to put a duvet cover on when you’re on your own is to firstly turn the cover inside out. Then, put your arms inside and fit your hands into the corners, you can then grab the bottom corners of your duvet, and pull it through, shaking firmly. As you pull the duvet through, the cover will flip back to its proper side.
Before you fasten the buttons at the bottom of the duvet cover, hold the top corners and give it a thorough shake to ensure there are no folds or lumps in the duvet.
